ANDREW TURNBULL - CHAIR

Andrew joined the HHC in 2022 and is an active lawn bowler. He has held Board and Director roles in Architecture | Landscape Architecture | Urban Design practices, professional institutes, and community associations for 30+ years. During his professional career, Andrew provided consultancy services in the strategic positioning and land management of community, sports, leisure, and tourism assets.

Andrew remains an active contributor to the design profession and community at large,

·         Strategic Advisor – Cancer Institute NSW & Cancer Council – ShadeSmart [2019-present]

·         Chair – AILA ShadeSmart Advisory Group [2020-present]

·         Past Chair – Lane North Estate Community Association [2017-2021]

·         Chair|Director – Mirage International Pty. Ltd. [2009-present]

·         KIDSAFE NSW – Playground Advisory Unit [Westmead Children’s Hospital 2022-present]

·         Director - Hunters Hill Club [December 2023-present].

Andrew is committed to the leadership team and ongoing success of the Hunters Hill Club having been elected to the Board in 2023.

 

JON MARQUARD - DIRECTOR

Jon is a local resident who has been lucky enough to live in the Hunters Hill community for more than 12 years. Jon joined HHC soon after moving into the area and has been on the board since 2022.

Jon owns and runs a sports, media and digital advisory practice which has been operating in Australia and overseas since 2013. Jon was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the Ten Network and Fox Sports. In those roles he oversaw several business units and divisions and served as a director on several external boards.

Jon and his wife Amanda have three teenage children, and the whole family are regular patrons and users of the HHC facilities. Jon is passionate about the role that the club plays in the area and the importance of HHC as part of the fabric of the local community. He is also involved in other local sports and community activities, including playing football for All Saints Hunters Hill and Masters Hockey.

 

GLEN NORRIS - DIRECTOR

Glen has been a Hunter Hill Club (HHC) member playing tennis and bowls since 2003; a Director of the Club Board since 2016 and on the HHC Bowls Committee since 2013 and is the current HHC Bowls President. 

Glen has some 10 years experience supporting the HHC and brings over 35 years expertise in sales and marketing, including fifteen years in management roles. 

Previously on the Board of Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) and Drummoyne Sports Club. Glen held the roles of Director, Chairman of Selectors, Company Secretary, was the Chair of the Marketing Committee and was also on the Governance Committee.

 

BRIAN HUNTER - TREASURER

Brian is now retired having spent 40 years in professional accountancy practice as a partner in PwC in both Australia and Hong Kong. He remains a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Brian is an active bowler and regularly represents the club in Pennants competitions.

 

TREENA GEORGIADIS - DIRECTOR

Treena Johnson Georgiadis has deep roots in the Hunters Hill community, having been raised in the area and now representing the third generation of her family to call Hunters Hill home. Her grandfather resided on Ferdinand Street in the early 1900s, and Treena’s strong connection to the community remains a driving force behind her passion for the Hunters Hill Club (HHC).

 

Treena’s introduction to hospitality began in 1989 while studying at the University of Sydney, where she worked for Spotless Catering at prominent venues including The Sydney Showground, The Sydney Cricket Ground, and The Sydney Football Stadium. Upon relocating to the U.S. in 1994, she built a successful career in hospitality management in New York City before becoming the managing partner in a thriving retail business in Dallas, Texas, in 2007. These experiences honed her leadership, customer service, and organizational skills, which she is excited to bring to the HHC board.

 

Since returning to Hunters Hill in 2020 with her husband Alexis and son Foster, Treena has embraced the club’s vital role in the community, both as a social hub and a space for recreational activities. She is currently an active member of the HHC Tennis Committee, where she has made significant contributions, including redesigning the tennis logo and creating a line of tennis merchandise now available for sale. Her creative and hands-on approach reflects her dedication to enhancing the club’s offerings for members.

 

Treena is committed to supporting the club’s legacy and ensuring it continues to be a vibrant part of Hunters Hill life for future generations.

 

BRENDON LOVE-DIRECTOR

Brendon became a member of the HHC in 2019, marking the beginning of his journey as a lawn bowler. In 2021, he was elected as a committee member of the Men’s Bowling Club, and from January 2023 onwards, he has held the position of joint Vice President.

Presently, Brendon holds the role of Head of Human Resources at Buslines Group. In this capacity, he bears the overarching responsibility for driving strategic human resource (HR) initiatives within the Buslines workforce. His duties encompass managing various facets of HR, including remuneration, learning and development, recruitment, employee relations, interpretation of Awards and IR legislation, and the provision of daily HR services to support the business.

With a background spanning over two decades in Operations and HR within the FMCG industry, Brendon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Board.

 

DAMIEN TRESSEDER-DIRECTOR

Damien has lived in Hunters Hill all of his 56 years.  He has been in the Building Industry for over 35 years, as a Construction Manager, and then, for the last 6 years, as a Project Manager handling a boutique portfolio.

He has volunteered with numerous local sporting clubs, including All Saints, Gladesville Ravens, and North Ryde RSL.  Currently he is 1st Grade Manager for Hunters Hill Rugby, a ski guide for disabled athletes at Perisher, and involved with other voluntary roles at St Josephs College.

He is a very passionate Hunters Hill resident and has been a member of The Hunters Hill Club for over 25 years.  He is looking forward to working with the Board.
